The documentary features some of the most incredible craft makers in the city of London. This is a heritage project designed to keep the endangered crafts and arts alive which slowly reduced production and some eventually disappeared as the internet made global markets more available.
With the arrival of new technologies and with the internet making global markets more and more available London's magnificent crafts slowly reduced production and some eventually disappeared. Today, only a handful remain and continue the traditions and techniques passed down from generation to generation. We aim to use photo-storytelling and short-documentary series to tell their story creating a connection with today’s world and helping keep the crafts alive by educating and reminding us all of the importance of old artistic knowledge.
This story is written in a comic book style and tells the tale of an indigenous superhero directly inspired by the many stories my grandfather, Justo Pastor, shared with me growing up. My grandfather lived and learned alongside indigenous tribes for years, absorbing wisdom about natural healing, sustainable living, and deep connection to the earth while exploring my native Colombia by foot. This story is a tribute to those journeys and the knowledgeable tribes like the Muisca People.
